My Favorite Destinations:
My favorite Destinations have been on an Alaskan cruise whale watching as well as sailing to Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. I also love going to Disney World at least once a year.
Favorite Travel Memory:
My favorite travel memory was when my family went to Disney World in 2011 and my husband (who passed away in 2012) wanted to participate in the Flag Retreat Ceremony at Magic Kingdom. My husband was an Army Veteran and heard about this program that happens daily at 5pm. He knew we had to get to the park before it opens as this is when they choose the Veteran of the Day! He wore his army jacket and veteran cap to stand out. He was chosen! He stood next to the flag pole as the flag was coming down. He had tears in his eyes. He was so proud to have served for our country. Our whole family was able to march in a short parade while carrying the folded flag. My husband received a certificate, a photo, a pin and at that time a hat with Mickey ears with his name on it. An emotional but memorable day for us all.
Dream Vacation:
I’ve always wanted to travel overseas to Europe. I’m happy to say my dream will come true July 2025. My daughter and I will be traveling to Paris, Switzerland, and Germany. My next Dream Destination would be Hawaii.
Disney Travel Advice:
It’s great to have a plan for each day, but know being spontaneous is even more Fun! Fun and making memories is what Disney is all about!
My Favorite Travel Tip
You will do a lot of walking! Have comfortable shoes to wear and have a back up pair or 2.
