Favorite Travel Memory:
My favorite travel memory is also somewhat frustrating. We took my oldest son to Walt Disney World when he was 6 months old with my extended family. On our first night in Magic Kingdom, our stroller was stolen from one of the stroller corrals. Unfortunately, the cast members at Magic Kingdom were unable to locate the stroller or provide us with a solution for the rest of our trip. However, we were staying at Pop Century, and we went to the front desk when we got back from the park. The cast member there brought over the resort manager who proceeded to give us $100 in cash and a round trip voucher for a taxi ride to the local Walmart. She told us to use the money to get a new stroller, and if it ended up costing more, to come back with the receipt and she would reimburse us. We were beyond grateful as we still had 7 days ahead of us for the family vacation and no way to transport our 6 month old son. The manager could have said “Sorry, but there’s nothing we can do for you.” However, she didn’t. Instead, she sprinkled some pixie dust on us and allowed us to get back to having a wonderful vacation.
