Favorite Travel Memory: 

Bringing my then-future-husband to Walt Disney World for the first time. As we watched the “Wishes” fireworks show, I watched him fall in love with the magic of the parks. A few years later, he asked me to marry him on the beach at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, and we were married a year later on the beach between the Swan and Dolphin Resorts. Our honeymoon was a cruise to the Bahamas on the Disney Dream. Fast forward nearly 10 years, we brought our toddler to the place “Where Dreams Come True”. But when I look back at all those happy memories, I’m reminded that “it all started with a wish”.

Favorite Travel Tip: 

Stay flexible. Working with a knowledgeable travel agent will help you avoid SO many pitfalls, but some things, especially when you’re bringing children, just can’t be predicted. When my daughter was just under 2 years old, she got a 24hr bug during our WDW trip, so we had to cancel our plans and have an impromptu “resort day”. During the same trip, we discovered that crowded indoor spaces were super overwhelming for her (read: nearly every line for rides and most of the shows). So instead of making everyone miserable and just trying to “push through”, we skipped all the shows and fireworks, utilized Genie+ for rides, and focused on more exploratory activities. Lo and behold, her favorite parts of the trip were the Seas aquarium in EPCOT, and the walking trails in Animal Kingdom, where she got to see the birds, fish, and other creatures. By staying flexible and adjusting to our daughter, and letting go of what we had imagined our trip would be, we still had a wonderful time filled with happy memories and beautiful pictures.
